El Chapo is very dangerous to an extent that he escaped twice from the world’s most secure prison. 4. Bloods & Crips
The Bloods and Crips controls illegal activities in Los Angeles, California, and other parts of the world. The Bloods and Crips is not a single gang, in fact they’re rivals. Its quite heartwarming how people are emphatic and concerned about the case of a young school boy that was brutally molested and abused in a Deeper Life boarding school.
The case of Don Davis have been quite on the news recently, I’m sure we’ve all read and are pretty much aware about the boy. He was a 11 year old plumpy kid, who was taken to a boarding school by his parents, how it seems that is probably the most horrible decision the parents ever made.
The young boy, identified as Don Davis was returned to his mother about 2 months later looking like a complete shell of his old self. He looked skinny, pale and mentally unstable. After much questioning, it was discovered that he was starved, molested and abused during his stay in the school.
His case has since been trending and it was expected that the general overseer of that particular Christian religious body, Pastor Kumuyi should at least have said something about this. However, the Pastor, whom we’ve always regarded as a man of peace have remained silent over that brutal case and Nigerians have stormed the social media to demand justice for the boy.

A teenager is finally getting medical help after living her entire life with two extra arms and fingers dangling from her chest.
Veronica Cominguez, 16, was born with the limbs and an oblong-shaped torso growing from her chest in Iligan City, Philippines.
The extra parts – belonging to a parasitic twin which did not develop properly – have continued to grow with her. She even cleans her living ”twin” and cuts their finger nails for them.
But Veronica is now finally set to live a normal life after locals raised money and officials organised for her to fly to neighbouring Thailand for an operation.

Veronica said: ”When I was little, I thought it was just a foot. But as I grew up, it became bigger ”It’s heavy, it limits my movement. It keeps swinging. My dress often gets wet.” Veronica’s mother, Flora Cominguez, said their family has a history of twins. She was not able to properly see a doctor during her pregnancy but said that she knew that it was twins. She even had a name for both of them
Unfortunately, the other baby did not fully develop. Flora said that Veronica’s navel would always get wet because of the liquid that comes out of it. Sometimes, the discharge has blood on it.

She added: ”The liquid that comes out of the opening smells bad, like human excretion.” According to Veronica’s doctor, the extra limbs can be removed through a simple operation. Dr. Beda Espineda, a pediatric surgeon at the Philippine Children’s Medical Center who also handles the medical case of Veronica, said: ”Most of these cases can be removed. Because, usually, the body structures involved are not vital. Most of them are just attached to the skin or bones. For surgeons, it is easy to remove.”
Veronica is now waiting to have her ”twin” who has become a parasite, removed as soon as possible.

The local government office in her village, which has her under its welfare care system, said she is due to fly to Thailand for the procedure.
A spokesman from the Barangay council Said: ”It has been arranged for Veronica to have an operation. and we hope that she will live a normal, healthy life after this.
Finally ”Life has not been easy for her but she’s a very sensible, clever and mature girl. She’s a wonderful pupil. Everyone is very pleased for her that she can soon have an operation.”

Inverter And Why You Need It
This is one questions that has been on mind since I got an inverter. Itās hard to imagine life without one now, however I realize I still depend heavily on my Generator. Why is that?

A 1.5KVA inverter can only carry regular home appliances like fans, TV sets (LCD, Plasma), Bulbs (energy saving bulbs preferably), computers, Home Theatre and can charge your phones even when it canāt carry anything else. The 1.5KVAās do not carry Fridges, Irons, ACās, Electric Kettle, cookers, washing machines etc. In fact when installing Inverters an installerĀ usually disconnect the ACās etc from it so u donāt have to always do it yourself or forget to.
The fact that they need to get charged all the time makes them somewhat dependent on AEDC or Generator. Using mine as an example, when they are fully charged they can run for between 6 to 12 hours depending on my power usage or length of outage. For example, when I use fans only it can last as much as 12 hours. When I combine it with TVās and light bulbs it can drop to as low as 6 hours depending on how often I turn off and turn on my light switch or how many TVās I use. Based on the above, can I now do without my Generator? Answer is a resounding NO!
Like I said Inverters have to be charged everyday for it to work at all. Without which they will just be a decorative item. In a period of constant power supply from AEDC there is obviously no need to charge it with a Solar Panel. However, there is no such thing as constant power supply at the moment in Nigeria. We use our Solar Panel more than we use AEDC. Whilst suppliers of Inverters may present it as an an alternative to Solar Panel. it likely isnāt. In fact, as you buy an inverter, you may consider buying Solar Panel as well or else it may not charge at periods when AEDC strikes. Besides it doesnāt power your Fridges and other appliances that may be useful to you when there are long periods of power outages. My Inverter cost me N200k inclusive of the batteries. Itās is charged by a 200W Solar Panel which cost me N50k to purchase. It is difficult to estimate how much I save financially using one. Iād attempt to do that in another blog post.

Despite all of these I still think they are important to have. Since Iāve had them Iāve found them very useful for several reasons. For example, we could be going to bed with AEDC and then deep into the night AEDC takes the light. I donāt have to go out that late to turn on the Generator, the Inverters just take over automatically. It also gives you time to decide whether to turn on your Generator immediately when AEDC take light. Especially at time when light comes on and goes off incessantly. Inverters also serves as a back up for your appliances when AEDC strikes. Imagine watching a football match and Messi is about to score (like in the commercial) and AEDC strikes!! Usually Inverters just take over immediately making sure you donāt miss anything. Inverters also do not require major maintenance cost like Generators and they are by far safer. However, just like a car you do need to service it, so if You’re using Wet Cell Tubular batteries, the water level should be checked every six months to be topped with Battery Distill water. periodically (every six months depending on your usage). A 220Ah/12V Inverter battery cost about N107,000 to N130,000 depending on where you buy and the kind of battery.

Finally, Whether that is enough for you to spend N300k for alternative power supply now depends on your comfort level as well as your financial appetite to spend. But for me I think itās worth the buy.
